Happy Teachers' Day.

For the first time that I can remember, today isn't a holiday for me.

Gone are the days of celebrations and school holidays galore, adulthood and responsibility are here to stay instead. The first to go was children's day, when we made the icky transition to awkward teenagers, caught in between, waiting to move on with life. Then various little celebrations and events continued dropping off the charts as the years went by because we're all "growing up". Little fanciful events were flighty, meaningless things of the past - embrace "more important things" that exist in the adult world: performance, money, power, bills, reputation...dreams are for the weak and childish, so stop dreaming.

That really isn't my point though. I meant to wish all you teachers a happy day out there - I hope that every one of you is fulfilled by your job. Each and everyone of you are important - the future is in your hands, now it's up to you to mould it to what you would like it to be.

So, happy teachers' day to y'all once again. :)
