salsa royale.

ADS held its last salsa social night on Sunday at Upper Club - I really do love that place, with its elegant decor and polished dance floor. The theme this time was 007: Salsa Royale, alá James Bond.

Dressing up for the event was great fun, though a tad rushed. All of us jumped at the chance to wear our little (or not so little) black dresses that we'll probably never get to wear out very much again, and appeared all glitzed up at night. There were some really gorgeous outfits around - Meling's sexy black dress and Jackson's bright orange suit in particular, winning the best dressed awards. Everyone looked so pretty that night!

It would have been a great night out to dance and party if not for the fact that I had a midterm the next day, which I probably bombed pretty badly because I didn't get to study for it at all. No time, no energy, no motivation, and...no textbook. The performances that night were good - encore performances by Jared&Miche and Andy&Crystal from the USQ Competition; Zee's impromptu shines performance; the team choreography and a hot exotic dance number.

Oh, and the team performance was so-so I suppose, everybody had minor glitches here and there though I suspect Andy and I screwed up the most. That brought my mood down quite a little too for the rest of the night.

That all aside, seeing everybody looking so pretty and/or handsome made me feel happy!

Dressing up is uber fun, but really too tiring to do on a regular basis. Still, sometimes I wish there were more reasons for us to don our dresses and gowns out instead of watching them collect dust in the wardrobe, hidden from the rest of the world. It just seems such a pity.
