changi cottage celebrations.

This week has been vaguely fun - met up with Yinquan (and by default, Mark Cheng and Alvin Loke as well for a brief while) on Tuesday because we hadn't seen each other for the longest time before that. Watched one of the most silly shows ever, called Smoking Aces or something along those lines (he chose the movie and bought the tickets while I just blindly followed in, clueless as always) and oh wow I think it gives Pick of Destiny a run for its money in terms of being a time-waster. Right before the movie, my poor shiny butterfly slippers gave way and so we had to walk around looking for nice shoes for me after - I ended up buying one pair of wedges and a pretty pair of heels to make up for it!

Anyhow, I think I will go try cableboarding with Tzeyi, Ming and him one day in this summer vacation, to see what the hype is all about and why these boys are so head over heels in love with the water sport.

Wednesday was Renhui's birthday celebration at Changi Cottage. Charlene booked the place for him, and the originally surprise-party ended up not being very surprising after all, what with Kairen's "sorry but I can't make it for your birthday thing" beforehand and the troublesome transport and food arrangements for the barbeque. The place is so far east that some of them were on My Maxis or random Malaysian receptions! Still, it was one of the better chalets I've been to - rather clean, quaint and not all *that* bug-infested although I came back with a handful of mosquito bites all the same.

Happy 24th, Rentaro! Hope you enjoyed yourself immensely yesterday and liked the present we got for you, too. :)
