paper faces on parade.

Steve's masquerade party was held at Mox last Thursday - smartly placed in the midterm break. There were many familiar faces, as to be expected, and we basically indulged in some mingling and catching up with random people the entire night.

The bar was rather small and difficult to locate - apparently Mox is a gay bar! The drinks were reaaaaallllyyyy too strong for my liking, the flashing disco lights were threatening to overwhelm my senses for most of the night and the music was so-so. I liked being at the balcony, with its view over Tanjong Pagar and the pretty plants adorning the corners. What I didn't like there was the shaky tables and the smokers that eventually invaded our space. Also, the upstairs bit (Bianco) was pretty nice! The decor had a sort of minimalist feel to it, being predominantly white and uncluttered. There were also some strategically placed swings and sofas in the corner of Bianco for people to lounge around at.

I honestly think dressing up for the party was the most fun bit! Though a number of us were probably rather overdressed in comparison to the majority of the crowd - but who cares? :)

Check out my sequined feathered mask! It looked a lot better being held next to me than over my face though because it's so huge - I looked like an owl behind it! The pretty pink mask is Michelle's, which I borrowed for photowhoring purposes. Heh!

Midterms on Tuesday and Wednesday, followed by 3 project meetings today...before SISF kicks in tomorrow till Sunday. I can't wait!
