chinese places.

Yay, looks like we'll be headed for Taiwan this December!

Spent the whole afternoon-evening at various travel agencies trying to squeeze in a trip to somewhere cold for December. We checked out Japan and Korea for slots during the Christmas season because the parents wanted to spend it at somewhere snowy, but to no avail since it's already so late - thankfully for me, because I want to spend Christmas in Singapore!

Anyway, we've already booked a 12th-19th December trip to Taiwan. The schedule seems a tad rushed but I guess we'll be covering most of the places worth visiting...and we extended our trip by a day so we'll have more time to hang around in Taipei.

After hearing so much about Taiwan's food and shopping scene...I can't wait! The only thing is that the salsa people will be heading up to Taipei for the Taiwan Congress just right before me so I'll be missing them by only a day. They'll be there from 6th-11th, so oh well. Was considering flying up with them then joining my parents later, but I don't really want to have to spend a night alone in Taiwan. And spending 14 days in Taiwan is also probably an overkill, especially since my Mandarin is so terrible to start with.

Maybe I'll come back bilingual. ;)
