Desaru was a good break - a brief getaway from Singapore (work, school, people, life...) for all of us. The MSF this year was mainly about frolicking in the day and dancing the night away. Nothing very much happened besides that, but oh how good it feels to not have to run around catching deadlines all the time and just let it all go, sleep in the sun and bask in its warmth.

Well, okay, not quite its warmth - more like its scorching heat.

I like the MSF resort location this year! It was held at Pulai Desaru Beach in Johor, so the drive up was pretty short, unlike the crazy 9-hour coach ride that we had to contend with last year. Also, the hotel room was nice and big though I think we all forgot to take pictures of the room. And most importantly, there were virtually NO FLIES buzzing around the food at all times and I was really thankful for that. Read last year's MSF post if you're wondering what I'm talking about.

Here we are on the way up to Desaru...all feeling excited and YAY about taking this short holiday!

Look at the beach at Pulai Desaru - how pretty, right? Amazing how the beach there looks so good, considering that it shares waters with Pasir Ris in Singapore and the beach at home looks nothing like this...

See what I meant by lots of frolicking in the sun? Not just by the beach but also by the pool!

And I found out that Jared has very strange sunbathing habits...

Check out Marc's awesome tan! That's how strong the sun at Desaru is. (Okay, I lied - his tan was from freshman camp, but.) We all got so tanned and/or burnt though! Jared started peeling the night itself and walked around with red, sun-tired eyes, Michelle turned about 4 shades darker, and Crystal and I sort of came out with a combination of browning and burning. It really didn't help since we had a performance at night after our day of tanning, and for the girls our foundation made our faces one/a few shades lighter than the rest of us! Ah well.

Spin City Dance's Pro Team performed with ADS in Malaysia for our cha-cha item (the same that we put up in LA) - but we didn't get a picture altogether in the costumes because they had to change back to theirs. Got one picture with Trevor though!

Susana Montero, Leon Rose & Inaki Fernandez put up a performance to A Man's World again (slightly modified from last MSF and SISF if I remember correctly) and it really is a classic choreography that I can watch countless times! Susana is sooooooooo amazing I swear - her body movement is crazy, she looks so energetic all the time and is fantastic on stage.

Look at our tanlines! Amazing what 4 hours in the hot sun can do.

Now I'm really tanned! And my nose has started peeling a little - I suspect my shoulders will follow suit soon.

I like my tan though, makes me look healthier and less pasty/pale. ;)
