Woo, it's been a long time since I've last blogged. So sad! I've had this blog since I was 16 (or 15?)...and now it's practically inactive.

Oh well. I guess as life gets busier, certain things start taking a backseat.

Wow, it's been a long time since my last post - so many things have happened since then, but I suppose life got so busy that I more or less forgot all about my poor blog.

For those of you who don't know yet, I left my old job at BarterXchange at the end of October, and have been taking things slow and easy since then, while keeping an eye out for another one. In November, there was Zee's birthday celebrations, followed by lots of SISF practices and finally, SISF itself. I promise to start posting the backdated entries on all these things soon!

But first things first, let's get down to why I suddenly decided to blog again.

In conjunction with the Singapore River Festival, there's a week-long flea market held at Timbre to complement all the other happening events around the entire area!



Miche, my sister and I will be taking a stall only for tomorrow because we shared the week's worth of slots with a helluva other girls from SMU. There will probably be quite a lot of vintage/eclectic/cool stuff to be found there since it's one of those flea markets with "personality", haha. Come down and support us if you guys are free! We don't know our stall number because they apparently don't assign numbers, but just give any of us a call when you're there.

Hola from the team at Attitude Dance Studio!!!

It's here again - Vamos Bailar (pronounced as Vah-moh Bye-La), Attitude Dance Studio's Social Night, and it simply means Let's Dance!!!

On the last Friday of every month, we throw open the studio just for you so you can practise your moves. This is a great opportunity for you to meet up with one another, indulge in lots of social dancing (salsa is all about practice and it doesn't matter if you're just a beginner) and get to know your instructors on a more personal level.

Lots of students have benefitted from this social as it allows you to dance in a very conducive environment and practice what you have learnt in class. And of course, it's FREE and you can also bring your friends along!!!!

And exclusively this Friday: Catch La Ballroom En Masse - Nanyang Polytechnic's social and ballroom dance club putting up a performance for your viewing pleasure!!! Artistic Director Gupson Pierre has been training the 50 odd members of this club a little over half a year and they have wowed audiences with their performance during the schools Open House and Club Crawl 2009. Come and show your support for the these buddding talents!! Showtime at 10pm sharp!!!

Michelle, my sister and I are sharing a stall at Booth #15 at the flea market opposite Cold Storage that is run from 2-7pm. Expect second-hand-but-in-good-condition clothes, accessories, and other terrific bargains there!

"A friend of mine saved an abandoned puppy from being put down by the SPCA, and are now looking for someone to adopt her. She is an absolutely precious 5-week old golden puppy and we think she is a Labrador. She is tiny but fiesty and loves playing soccer even though the ball is bigger than she is right now. She doesn't even have a name yet but has beautiful eyes that you will love coming home to.

Just helping some friends out because they need girls for various events -

1. Cuevo Tequila Girls
Date: 21st November, Friday
Time: 10pm-2am or 2am-6am
Rate: $20/hour
Location: Living Room/Barnone depending on shift
Outfit: Cuevo baby tee (provided), own mini skirt and heels
Okay, admittedly the pay and hours aren't particularly great but the job is slack, the boss is really nice and friendly, and he can drop you home after your shift.

2. Singha Beer Ambassadors
Date: every Friday for the next few months(can pick your dates)
Time: 7-11pm
Rate: $15/hour
Location: Clarke Quay (Thai Restaurant/Forbidden City) or roving
Same thing, pay is so-so but they will pick you each week from somewhere near your place and drive you down to your designated location.

For both, no height requirement but you must be pleasant looking and able to present yourself well at the very least.
